Details of the Job/Internship
Asian Paints is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal 1 with 8 years of experience to join their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
Litigation:
- Draft and file written statements, evidence, and arguments in consumer cases.
- Respond to consumer notices and maintain case records and MIS.
- Provide training and support to consumer teams.
- Manage litigation under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, recovery suits, and consumer complaints.
- Coordinate with advocates and follow up on ongoing cases.
Advisory:
- Provide legal advice to business units on various issues.
- Draft agreements as referred.
Legal Support:
- Provide legal support to Distribution, Supply, Logistics, and Manufacturing functions.
- Draft and issue legal notices for outstanding dues.
- Draft replies and communication for consumer matters.
- Conduct dealer visits and assist in service of summons.
- Conduct legal research and circulate research notes.
- Maintain and update litigation statements and coordinate resolutions via internal portals.
Eligibility
- Degree in Law from a recognized university (GLC/ Symbiosis Pune/ ILS Pune/ NLUs).
- 8 years of work experience.
- Experience with a recognised law firm and/or corporate is desired.
