Details of the Job/Internship
Impetus is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager - Legal Compliance with 2-8 years of experience to join their office in Indore/Noida/Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of IT commercial agreements (MSAs, SOWs, subcontractor agreements, NDAs, change orders) and non-commercial contracts.
- Provide legal support to HR, Admin, and Finance for internal matters.
- Maintain and manage the contracts repository and legal documentation.
- Advise on corporate and commercial law with a global outlook.
- Conduct legal research and prepare guidance on applicable laws/regulations.
- Support group companies in litigation management and liaise with external counsel as needed.
- Manage post-signing contract administration, including amendments and record-keeping.
- Develop and update contract templates as per business needs.
- Join client calls (national and international) to assist in negotiations and contract finalization.
- Identify and communicate contractual risks, propose mitigation strategies, and obtain approvals for deviations.
- Respond to internal and client queries on contractual matters.
- Oversee Data Protection and Privacy compliance from a legal perspective.
Eligibility
- Law degree from an accredited, top-tier law school.
- 2–8 years’ experience in a mid-to-large IT company or similar industry, with a focus on international contracts and corporate law.
- Proven track record in negotiating high-value commercial contracts with international clients.
- Strong understanding of Privacy and Data Protection regulations.
- Ability to work independently under tight deadlines while maintaining high quality.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, including cross-cultural communication.
- Proficiency in MS Word, strong drafting skills, and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work with overlap to US time zones, including occasional late hours and weekends.
- Strong work ethic, time management skills, and the ability to coordinate global discussions.
