Details of the Job/Internship

Max Healthcare is hiring an Assistant Manager Legal (Litigation) with 2-4 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.

Role and Responsibilities

• Experience in handling litigations, court proceedings—both criminal and civil matters, consumer disputes, employment or labor laws, IPR disputes, arbitrations, cheque bounce litigations, and suits for recovery.
• Conducting research into applicable laws and regulations and advising on regulatory requirements, legal risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Drafting and vetting court pleadings including plaints, replies, written statements, rejoinders, affidavits, applications, notices, and replies for consumer matters.
• Managing and resolving conflicts to avoid dispute escalation.
• Participating in and/or leading negotiations with internal and external stakeholders.
• Preparing litigation status reports in MS Excel and PowerPoint.
• Identifying and consulting on legal risks in connection with the development of new business and products.
• Handling litigation mandates from inception till final hearing.
• Actively involved in all litigations including briefing counsels and appearing before the courts.
• Timely response to all notices.

Eligibility

• Graduate in Law (LL.B.).
• 2 to 4 years of experience in the legal department of a corporate entity.
• Exposure to the healthcare or pharmaceuticals industry is preferred.
• Experience in contract management and compliance management is an added advantage.
