Details of the Job/Internship

Lionsgate Play is hiring an Assistant Manager-Legal with 2–4 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.

Role and Responsibilities

• Support the content acquisition and original production teams with legal guidance and risk assessment.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex agreements related to partnerships and media content.
• Ensure organizational compliance with regulations governing the media and entertainment industry.
• Provide legal advice on copyright, trademark, and data protection laws.
• Monitor and advise on emerging regulations, particularly those surrounding Artificial Intelligence (AI).
• Collaborate with diverse internal departments to mitigate legal risks and support strategic business plans.
• Maintain a high standard of attention to detail while managing multiple legal workflows in a fast-paced environment.

Eligibility

• Completion of a five-year integrated law degree from a reputable law school.
• 2–4 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE), with a significant portion in the Media & Entertainment industry.
• Comprehensive understanding of contract law, intellectual property (copyright/trademark), and data protection.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong work ethic.
• Enthusiasm to learn and adapt to new challenges within a dynamic team environment.
