Details of the Job/Internship
Amar Chitra Katha is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with 3 to 5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role requires an LLB-qualified candidate capable of independently managing IP matters, tracking litigation, briefing external counsel, and handling drafting, vetting, and negotiation of contracts. The position also involves overseeing day-to-day legal functions and coordinating with stakeholders and regulatory authorities.
Role and Responsibilities
- Drafting, vetting, negotiating, and closing commercial contracts.
- Managing the company’s IPR portfolio and maintaining updated IP records.
- Overseeing day-to-day legal functions and ensuring statutory compliance.
- Briefing counsel and tracking ongoing litigation.
- Drafting cease and desist notices and recovery notices.
- Monitoring relevant legislative changes and implementing necessary actions.
- Handling matters related to POSH, labour laws, property laws, and civil and criminal laws.
- Advising on arbitration, negotiation, and conciliation in commercial disputes.
- Maintaining legal documentation and records of all contracts.
Eligibility
- LLB; LLM (optional).
- Diploma or certifications in Intellectual Property.
- Knowledge of Intellectual Property is mandatory.
- Experience in drafting and vetting agreements.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
