Details of the Job/Internship

Ampersand Group is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with experience in intellectual property management to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves overseeing and managing the company’s IP portfolio, primarily trademarks, conducting searches, filing applications, handling oppositions, attending hearings, and ensuring enforcement of IP rights. It also includes drafting and reviewing agreements and providing legal support across departments.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct trademark searches, prepare reports, and file trademark applications.
• Draft replies to examination reports, oppositions, affidavits, and attend hearings.
• Draft and review various company-related documents including consultancy, service, vendor, employment, and license agreements.
• Coordinate with law firms, lawyers, and consultants on legal issues.
• Conduct legal research and ensure compliance with applicable laws.
• Provide legal advice to internal stakeholders and update departments on legal developments.
• Manage legal agreements, ensure timely renewals, and maintain contract records.
• Process timely payments to lawyers and counsels.
• Represent the company before IP authorities and manage IP-related documentation.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LL.B.).
• Strong understanding of intellectual property and trademark law.
• Experience in drafting, reviewing, and managing contracts and agreements.
• Excellent communication, research, and analytical skills.
• Ability to coordinate with internal teams and external legal advisors.

Salary/Stipend
