Details of the Job/Internship
AMU is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with 3–5 years of experience to support their legal and regulatory operations related to electric vehicle financing, partnerships, compliance, and litigation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts including vendor agreements, financing/leasing agreements, OEM partnerships, NDAs, and MOUs.
- Ensure execution and safekeeping of legal documents. Maintain standard templates per RBI and NBFC guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with RBI, SEBI, MCA, RTO, FAME II, and other EV-related regulations.
- Support audits, inspections, and filings related to NBFC and EV financing operations.
- Monitor legal and regulatory changes relevant to the EV and NBFC sectors.
- Assist in managing litigation related to asset repossession, loan defaults, and consumer disputes.
- Coordinate with external counsel for legal notices, recovery suits, and court representation.
- Liaise with recovery agents, enforcement teams, and authorities for legal actions.
- Identify legal risks in operations such as EV sales, battery financing, and vehicle repossession.
- Provide legal opinions and assist in policy drafting for fraud, misrepresentation, and KYC/AML.
- Assist in IP protection, trademark filings, and compliance with brand licensing agreements.
- Advise HR on employment law and vendor labor compliance. Draft employment agreements.
- Support internal teams (procurement, BD, finance) with legal inputs.
- Maintain MIS for legal matters and assist with board documentation.
Eligibility
- LLB or LLM from a recognized university.
- Specialization in Corporate Law or Business Law is a plus.
- 3–5 years of experience in legal roles, preferably with exposure to NBFCs, the EV industry, fintech, or the mobility sector.
Salary/Stipend
