Details of the Job/Internship

Anand Rathi Global Finance Limited is hiring a Legal Associate – Real Estate & Property Due Diligence with a minimum of 3 years of experience to handle end-to-end legal verification, title due diligence, and loan documentation for housing finance cases.

Role and Responsibilities

• Conduct legal due diligence of immovable properties and prepare Title Search & Title Investigation Reports (13–30 years).
• Verify property documents for Home Loans, LAP, Commercial Loans, and Project Finance.
• Analyze and provide legal opinions on property titles, including those under MHADA, CIDCO, SRA, and Co-operative Housing Societies.
• Review and vet loan-related property documents submitted for housing finance.
• Draft and audit legal documents such as APF files, Indemnity Bonds, Public Notices, and Affidavits.
• Ensure compliance with statutory and institutional norms for lending institutions.
• Liaise with internal teams, banks, financial institutions, and developers for legal clearances.
• Support credit and risk teams with legal opinions for project finance and retail lending.
• Ensure compliance with property laws, RERA, and regulatory frameworks.
• (Optional) Assist in litigation, arbitration, and DRT proceedings, and coordinate with external counsel.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) or equivalent.
• Minimum 3+ years of experience in legal due diligence related to property and housing loans.
• Knowledge of property laws, institutional lending, and affordable housing finance.
• Strong drafting, research, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder coordination abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
