Asian Paints is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager Legal to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.
Role and Responsibilities
Litigation Management
- Draft replies to legal notices and prepare pleadings.
- Manage commercial disputes, including consumer complaints.
- File and pursue criminal complaints before police authorities and courts.
- Liaise with attorneys and external counsels, ensuring timely submission of pleadings.
- Maintain litigation records and update case portals.
Contract Management
- Draft, review, and negotiate agreements including lease and leave & license.
- Conduct property due diligence.
- Vet and review diverse legal documents.
- Maintain MIS for legal matters and generate monthly/quarterly reports on litigation and expenses.
Advisory to Business Units
- Provide legal advice and support to business teams.
- Resolve contentious/disputed matters efficiently.
- Partner with business personnel to understand and meet drafting requirements.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a reputed institution (NLUs, Symbiosis, ILS, GLC preferred).
- Prior experience in a litigation team at a law firm or in a corporate legal department.
