Details of the Job/Internship
Awfis Space Solutions Ltd. is hiring a Legal Counsel – Real Estate to oversee drafting, vetting, compliance, and litigation processes.
Role and Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely drafting, vetting, and standardization of legal documents, including Commercial Leave & License Agreements, Lease Deeds, Operating Agreements, Fit-Out Agreements, and Common Area Maintenance Agreements.
- Achieve 100% compliance with agreed TAT for document reviews and amendments.
- Conduct comprehensive legal due diligence for prospective lease arrangements, including title investigations, OC/CC validation, Fire NOCs, and local legislation checks.
- Ensure complete legal and commercial compliance for all property deals before closure.
- Manage all litigation matters and disputes in coordination with external counsel and internal teams.
- Provide timely updates and reports on litigation to the HoD.
- Ensure full adherence to company policies and regulatory compliance.
- Provide accurate, well-researched legal opinions within defined timelines.
- Review all contracts related to customers, alliances, marketing, design and build, and procurement within agreed TAT, ensuring zero backlog
- Liaise with legal consultants, landlords, and internal stakeholders for smooth and timely closure of agreements.
- Resolve 95% of contract-related issues without escalation.
- Maintain complete accuracy of documentation for all legal agreements as per internal checklists.
- Implement periodic audits to ensure documentation integrity and compliance.
