Details of the Job/Internship
BDO RISE Private Limited is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager Legal witth 6-7 years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru in hybrid mode.
Role and Responsibilities
Vendor Contract Management:
- Oversee the entire vendor contract lifecycle, including drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and renewing contracts.
- Maintain a comprehensive repository of contracts and ensure timely renewals and regular risk assessments.
- Generate and manage contract-related Management Information Systems (MIS) and dashboards for leadership reporting.
Corporate Secretarial Support:
- Assist in the preparation of board and committee agendas, minutes, and action trackers.
- Ensure timely filings with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) and other statutory authorities, in coordination with the Company Secretary.
- Track compliance with corporate governance requirements and ensure all related documentation is maintained.
Labour Law & Regulatory Compliance:
- Address queries related to labour laws and employment regulations.
- Draft responses and manage correspondence with government and regulatory bodies.
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and internal policies.
Compliance Management:
- Maintain and monitor an internal compliance dashboard across various functions.
- Track statutory and regulatory compliance status and provide timely updates to key stakeholders.
- Ensure adherence to compliance deadlines and internal audit requirements.
Third-Party Due Diligence:
- Conduct thorough due diligence on vendors, partners, and other third parties.
- Support the onboarding process, risk analysis, and periodic reviews of third-party relationships.
Leadership & Team Management:
- Lead a small legal and compliance team, offering guidance, mentorship, and conducting performance reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, People & Culture (P&C), and others.
Eligibility
- Education: LL.B. degree is required. A Company Secretary qualification is preferred.
- Experience: 6-7 years of experience in a corporate legal or compliance role, with a proven track record in vendor negotiations, compliance management, and corporate governance.
Salary/Stipend
Compensation details will be finalized during the interview process with the selected candidate.
