Details of the Job/Internship
Cactus Communications is hiring an Assistant Manager, Legal with experience of 7–9 years to join their centralized legal team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize a variety of business contracts, including MSAs, vendor agreements, and NDAs.
- Provide actionable legal advice and develop risk mitigation strategies for global business initiatives.
- Monitor corporate policies and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple international jurisdictions.
- Standardize data handling practices and ensure compliance with global protection laws such as GDPR.
- Oversee the standardization of agreements and policies for freelancers and independent contractors.
- Manage intellectual property protection, including enforcement, filings, and drafting IP-related notices.
- Handle legal notices and pre-litigation matters while coordinating with external counsel for active disputes.
- Conduct research on emerging legal topics and cross-border regulations to prepare concise advisory memos.
- Streamline legal processes by building templates, trackers, and operational dashboards.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
- 7–9 years of experience in corporate legal roles (with a minimum of 6 years in legal practice).
- Proven expertise in contract management, data privacy, and corporate compliance.
- Deep understanding of international corporate and contractual laws.
- Strong ability to simplify complex legal concepts for non-legal stakeholders.
- Experience in working independently within a fast-paced, remote-first environment.
- Legal authorization to work in the country of advertisement.
