Details of the Job/Internship
CACTUS is hiring an Assistant Manager, Legal, with 7–9 years of experience to support its centralized global legal operations.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, negotiate, and finalize various agreements, including MSAs, business agreements, vendor contracts, NDAs, settlement agreements, RFPs, term sheets, and lease deeds.
- Optimize and streamline contract management processes.
- Provide expertise in managing international contracts.
- Advise internal teams on legal and compliance matters and liaise with external counsel.
- Draft, implement, and monitor corporate policies and SOPs while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure adherence to data protection laws such as GDPR and standardize data handling processes.
- Standardize contracts and policies for freelancers and independent contractors, and address related queries.
- Leverage technology tools to improve legal operations.
- Oversee protection and management of IP assets, draft IP-related documents, and coordinate with external counsel on filings and infringement matters.
- Build templates, playbooks, FAQs, workflows, dashboards, and trackers for legal operations.
- Manage legal notices, pre-litigation matters, and coordinate with external counsel on litigation.
- Conduct research on cross-border regulations, commercial laws, and emerging legal topics.
- Monitor SLAs and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Identify legal risks, provide mitigation strategies, and review business initiatives for legal implications.
Eligibility
- Bachelor of Law (LLB) with 7–9 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in business partnering with cross-functional teams.
- Strong communication skills and ability to simplify legal concepts.
- Ability to manage high workloads independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capability.
- Efficient and quick execution abilities.
- Excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Expertise in international corporate and contractual laws.
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
- Highly motivated, independent, and results-oriented.
Salary/Stipend
