Details of the Job/Internship
Epic Group is hiring an Assistant Manager Legal with experience in contract management and compliance to join their office in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial contracts such as vendor agreements, lease deeds, and NDAs.
- Support the development and implementation of legal strategies that align with business goals.
- Conduct preliminary legal research and provide inputs on the legal implications of business decisions.
- Monitor statutory compliances across multiple locations and coordinate with relevant government bodies.
- Assist in handling employment law matters, including disciplinary actions and industrial relations.
- Liaise with external legal counsel to support litigation management and case preparation.
- Contribute to corporate governance initiatives and assist in drafting board resolutions.
- Identify potential legal risks and escalate them to senior counsel with suggested mitigation strategies.
- Participate in internal audits and support corrective action plans for legal and compliance issues.
Eligibility
- Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
- Proven experience in contract drafting, legal research, and compliance monitoring.
- Knowledge of employment laws and industrial relations is preferred.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise with government authorities and external counsel.
- Experience in the manufacturing or apparel industry is an added advantage.
