Details of the Job/Internship
GIVA is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager Legal with 2+ years of experience to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
1. Internal Stakeholder Coordination
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as the primary liaison between internal teams and franchise partners, ensuring seamless coordination throughout the franchise lifecycle.
- Process Alignment: Work closely with Legal, Finance, and Operations to ensure franchise documentation, compliance requirements, and operational systems are in place for new franchisee onboarding.
2. Franchise Partner Communication
- Maintain effective and ongoing communication with franchisees and property lessors to support business continuity and mutual understanding.
3. Legal Documentation & Execution
- LOI Management: Oversee the drafting, review, and timely execution of Letters of Intent (LOIs) with prospective franchisees.
- Agreement Execution: Coordinate the negotiation and finalization of franchise agreements in collaboration with Legal and Finance, ensuring all contractual obligations are clearly understood by the franchisee.
4. Franchisee Onboarding & Support
- Ensure smooth onboarding of new franchisees, including the delivery of necessary operational tools, training materials, and legal documents.
5. Operational Monitoring & Support
- Performance Tracking: Monitor franchisee performance to ensure compliance with brand standards and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to streamline systems and enhance franchisee support structures.
6. Franchisee Relationship Management
- Relationship Building: Foster strong, collaborative relationships with franchisees, supporting them throughout their partnership journey.
- Issue Resolution: Serve as a point of escalation to resolve conflicts or disputes between franchisees and the company.
7. Reporting & Documentation
- Record Maintenance: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of franchise agreements, LOIs, and key communications.
- Management Reporting: Provide periodic updates to leadership on franchise progress, onboarding status, legal issues, and escalations.
8. Compliance & Regulatory Oversight
- Ensure that all franchise stores comply with applicable local laws and that statutory filings and monthly compliance reports are maintained accurately.
Eligibility
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law is mandatory; an additional qualification in Business Administration is preferred.
- Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in franchise operations, legal coordination, or program management.
- Hands-on experience with contract negotiation, franchise agreements, and legal documentation is highly desirable.
