Details of the Job/Internship

ITW Universe is hiring an Assistant Manager Legal with experience of 1-3 years to join their office in Bengaluru.

Role and Responsibilities

• Drafting, vetting, and reviewing various agreements including advertisement, endorsement, PR, celebrity management, media rights, service, music director, lyricist, singer, shareholder agreements, MOUs, NDAs, amendments, term sheets, and other legal documents.
• Research and evaluate different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations, including carrying out due diligence on vendors and customers.
• Communicate and negotiate with external parties.
• Draft, negotiate, and finalize for execution agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure the company’s full legal rights.
• Assist the organization in conjunction with the finance team to ensure vendor compliance with agreement terms and fulfilment of payment obligations on time. Perform other tasks to support the Accounts Receivable Department.
• File applications for intellectual property protection and take necessary steps to secure registration.
• Address queries from business and finance teams related to law and agreements.
• Analyse and summarize RFPs, ITTs, manage documentation, and ensure timely submission of responses.
• Coordinate closely with external legal counsels and internal teams including technical, HR, Admin, Finance, and Procurement.
• Draft legal notices and responses.
• Draft policies and advise the organization on compliance with applicable laws.
• Handle general administrative duties including contract bundling, filing, and letters.

Eligibility

• Law degree from a recognized university.
• The candidate must be located in Karnataka or Bengaluru.
• Must have proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking Kannada.
• Minimum 1-3 years of litigation experience (civil and criminal) across all courts.
• Relevant industry experience of 3-6 years in media/sports/entertainment environment desirable. Freshers can also apply.
• Flexible and willing to put in extra hours depending on the workload.
• Good understanding of Contract Laws, Companies Act, Criminal and Civil Laws, Intellectual Property Laws, tenders, and bid documents.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Pleasing personality, patience, and organizational skills.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and never-give-up attitude.
• Ability to handle pressure and multitask.
• Willingness to travel.
• Desire to gain knowledge in new fields and gain new skills.

Salary/Stipend
