Details of the Job/Internship
Medanta is hiring an assistant legal manager with 4-7 years of experience to join their Patna office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle all legal disputes, claims, and litigation involving the hospital.
- Maintain comprehensive records of all litigation cases and provide regular updates to the hospital management and corporate legal team.
- Draft, review, and negotiate various types of contracts, including vendor agreements, service contracts, leases, and partnership agreements.
- Ensure that all contracts comply with legal requirements, hospital policies, and industry standards.
- Provide legal advice and support to various departments on contractual matters and risk mitigation strategies.
- Ensure timely renewals, amendments, or terminations as necessary.
- Ensure all contracts are properly documented and accessible in the centralized contract management system for the hospital unit
- Develop and implement legal policies, procedures, and best practices to minimize legal risks and ensure compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Support the hospital management team in developing strategies to address potential legal risks and opportunities.
- Monitor changes in laws, regulations, and industry standards that may impact the hospital’s operations.
- Ensure the hospital complies with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements, including licensing, accreditation, and reporting obligations.
Eligibility
- A minimum of 4-7 years of experience as a legal professional, with experience in healthcare law being an advantage.
- Experience in litigation, contract management, and general corporate legal matters.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- High level of integrity, ethics, and professional conduct.
