Details of the Job/Internship
Meesho is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with experience of 3–5 years to join their office in Bengaluru.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor, distribution, licensing, SaaS/technology, and strategic partnership contracts.
- Advise on corporate governance, regulatory, and compliance matters under the Companies Act, FEMA, SEBI, and other applicable laws.
- Support corporate transactions such as M&A, joint ventures, investments, and restructurings.
- Partner with business teams to identify legal risks and provide practical solutions.
- Engage and manage external counsel for specialist mandates and due diligence.
- Monitor regulatory developments and recommend policy and process improvements.
- Strengthen contract lifecycle management, compliance monitoring, and risk frameworks.
Eligibility
- Qualified LL.B with 3–5 years of PQE.
- Experience in a reputed law firm and/or in-house role with exposure to corporate advisory, transactions, and compliance.
- Experience in handling cross-border contracts and complex commercial negotiations.
- Strong analytical and strategic mindset.
- Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in fast-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
- Effective stakeholder management and commercial understanding.
