Details of the Job/Internship

OCS Services is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal with 5–8 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. The role involves supporting high-value international projects, cross-border transactions, and global business operations.

Role and Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate domestic and international contracts including service agreements, framework agreements, charter party agreements, MOUs, and consultancy contracts.
• Provide legal support for multi-jurisdictional transactions and global operations.
• Advise stakeholders on contract risks, dispute resolution, regulatory compliance, and legal strategy.
• Liaise with external counsel on international legal issues, disputes, and arbitration matters.
• Conduct legal research and prepare internal legal opinions, policy recommendations, and compliance guidance.
• Develop contract templates and legal workflows in line with international standards.
• Monitor domestic and global legal and regulatory developments affecting the energy and marine sectors.
• Mentor junior members of the legal team as required.

Eligibility

• Law degree with 5–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in an in-house legal department of a large, diversified organisation.
• Strong expertise in cross-border contracts, international business transactions, and regulatory compliance.
• Experience in oil & gas, energy, or marine sectors is desirable.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
• Ability to collaborate with senior leadership, global clients, and external counsel.
• Proactive and solution-oriented mindset.

Salary/Stipend
