Details of the Job/Internship
Purplle is hiring a Legal Manager with experience of 5–8 years to join their legal team.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial agreements including vendor contracts, leases, and service agreements.
- Manage real estate legalities such as leave and license agreements and fit-out contracts.
- Lead due diligence processes and support fundraising and M&A transactions.
- Draft and assist in closing transaction documents such as SHA, SSA, and SPA.
- Manage litigation including consumer cases, labour disputes, and arbitration.
- Liaise with external counsels for drafting legal notices and petitions.
- Ensure compliance with e-commerce laws, legal metrology, labour laws, and data privacy norms.
- Conduct internal audits to identify and address compliance gaps.
- Act as a legal advisor to internal teams including HR, marketing, product, and supply chain.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. from a top-tier law school.
- 5–8 years of post-qualification experience.
- Experience in law firms and in-house roles (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Companies Act, Contract Act, IPR laws, and real estate regulations.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
