Details of the Job/Internship
Sony Pictures Networks India is hiring an Assistant Manager / Manager with 5–9 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft independent legal notices, deactivation responses, incentive letters, and operator communications.
- Coordinate with sales, business, and commercial teams to provide proactive legal solutions and strategic advice.
- Review and ensure strict compliance with TRAI Regulations, Tariff Orders, and Interconnect Offerings.
- Analyze and draft responses to Consultation Papers issued by TRAI concerning the broadcasting industry.
- File requisite data and regulatory information with TRAI on a timely basis.
- Coordinate with the litigation vertical to initiate or defend proceedings before TDSAT, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
- Brief Advocates on Record and senior counsel regarding operator-related litigations and filings.
- Maintain and update legal documents and MIS on the company’s internal software systems.
- Ensure the Reference Interconnect Offer (RIO) remains in accordance with extant laws and address internal queries.
Eligibility
- Law Graduate (LLB); a Master of Law (LL.M) is preferred.
- 5–9 years of post-qualification experience (PQE).
- Prior experience in a large corporate (Media, Telecom, or Broadcasting) or a reputable Law Firm.
- Deep understanding of Telecom/Broadcasting laws and regulatory interpretation.
- Strong drafting skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Proactive approach with the ability to adhere to strict turn-around times (TAT).
- Experience in handling cross-functional stakeholders and briefing external legal counsel.
