Details of the Job/Internship
The Phoenix Mills Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Manager - Legal with experience of 3-5 years to support leasing, project, and center operation teams on legal and regulatory matters in their Mumbai office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Liaise with solicitors and advocates.
- Draft property-related documents, particularly leave & license agreements.
- Negotiate agreements with retailers and their lawyers.
- Conduct due diligence on land/deals.
- Handle financial documents and share purchase/shareholders agreements.
- Draft general commercial agreements.
- Assist in legal matters related to real estate deeds, land acquisition, statutory clearances, long-term leasing, and renting.
- Oversee litigations.
- Draft development, sale, lease, and leave & license agreements.
- Stay updated with latest case laws relevant to mall operations and business.
Eligibility
- 3-5 years of experience, including 1-2 years with a law firm.
- Good understanding and interpretation of laws.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Sharp legal acumen.
- Knowledge in acquisition of property, documentation, and legal formalities.
- Drafting skills for property-related documents.
- Basic understanding of direct and indirect taxes.
- Knowledge of statutory/regulatory compliance and leasing administration process.
