Details of the Job/Internship
Thomas Cook India Limited is hiring an Assistant Manager Legal to manage litigation and non-litigation matters for TCIL, SOTC, and the TC Group of Companies.
Role and Responsibilities
Litigation:
- Handle consumer complaints, civil suits, executions, appeals, arbitrations, trademark cases, recovery cases, and property-related matters PAN India.
- Manage criminal complaints, including matters under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act.
- Draft and review pleadings, rejoinders, affidavits, appeals, complaints, and miscellaneous applications.
- Engage and coordinate with advocates and follow up for timely filings.
- Assist businesses in filing FIRs or complaints and handle complaints filed against the company or its directors/employees.
- Draft and reply to legal notices, including those under IBC and from statutory authorities such as ED, RBI, CBI, Police, etc.
Non-Litigation:
- Draft and manage agreements including incentive deals, corporate travel, PSA appointments, HR consultancy, internet support, MICE, marketing, NDAs, visa services, land services, financial services, forex applications, agency/franchise contracts, overseas vendor contracts, insurance, property leases, and AAI agreements.
- Update and manage Contract and Litigation Management Systems.
- Draft and issue Powers of Attorney and handle related tenancy issues.
- Coordinate for stamp duty adjudication and registration of legal documents.
Advisory:
- Advise and assist business teams (FX, LT, DOM, E-Biz) and support departments (CT, Marketing, Admin, BPIA, SQ, SSC) on legal issues, policies, recoveries, and procedures.
Other Roles:
- Maintain MIS, LMS, CMS.
- Prepare ACM, RCM, and review reports.
- Conduct legal research and track new orders and judgments.
- Verify titles and perform due diligence for immovable properties PAN India.
- Handle any other legal assignments as directed.
