Details of the Job/Internship

Turno is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager Legal with 6-8 years of experience to join their office in Noida.

Role and Responsibilities

Litigation & Recovery Management

• Oversee litigation related to auto loan defaults: Demand Notices, Arbitration, Section 138, Section 9 & 17, and Loan Recovery Notices.
• Coordinate with external counsel for filing, follow-ups, and court appearances.
• Assist collections and business teams with delinquency recovery strategies and legal notices.
• Maintain and track the status of all litigation and recovery matters.

Loan Documentation

• Review and validate loan agreements, hypothecation documents, and other customer-facing legal papers.
• Ensure documentation complies with RBI guidelines and internal risk policies.

Contract Management

• Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including:
• Vendor and empanelment contracts
• Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
• Lease and infrastructure agreements
• Maintain contract repositories, track renewals, obligations, and key timelines.

Regulatory & Compliance

• Stay up-to-date with applicable laws and regulations: RBI, NBFC norms, Motor Vehicles Act, Consumer Protection Act, etc.
• Liaise with internal compliance teams for audits, regulatory inspections, and timely filings.

Legal Advisory & Risk Mitigation

• Provide strategic legal advice to stakeholders across departments.
• Review and support internal processes and policies from a legal compliance perspective.

Eligibility

• Education: LLB is mandatory; LLM is a plus.
• Experience: 6–8 years of legal experience in NBFCs, banks, or law firms handling financial sector clients.
• Legal Expertise: In-depth understanding of:
• Auto loan processes
• SARFAESI Act and arbitration
• Civil and criminal litigation procedures
• Recovery mechanisms across jurisdictions

Salary/Stipend
