Details of the Job/Internship

The Souled Store is hiring for the position of Assistant Manager/Manager - Legal with 5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Contract Lifecycle Management: Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements including NDAs, MOUs, service contracts, licensing, and distribution agreements.
• Regulatory & Legal Compliance: Ensure organizational adherence to applicable corporate, commercial, and sector-specific laws and regulations.
• IP Management: Oversee and maintain the company’s intellectual property portfolio—trademarks, copyrights, licensing—ensuring timely filings and renewals.
• Litigation Management: Coordinate with external counsel, provide litigation support, and manage dispute resolution processes.
• Risk Assessment: Identify legal risks in business operations and transactions; design and implement mitigation strategies.
• Legal Advisory: Act as a legal partner to cross-functional teams including Brand, Retail, E-commerce, HR, and Supply Chain, providing timely and practical legal advice.
• Legal Repository: Maintain accurate and updated records of all legal documentation and contracts.
• Legislative Monitoring: Stay updated on legal and regulatory developments relevant to the business and proactively adjust internal processes.

Eligibility

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB); LLM or legal specialization is a plus.
• Experience: At least 5 years of legal experience, preferably in retail, fashion, FMCG, or e-commerce sectors.
• Legal Expertise: Strong command over corporate law, IP law, contract law, and compliance frameworks.
• Communication: Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and attention while reviewing legal documents.
• Tech-Savvy: Comfortable with legal research tools and compliance software.
• Problem-Solver: Ability to anticipate legal challenges and provide proactive solutions.
