Details of the Job/Internship

Mind Merchants is hiring an Assistant Manager/Team Lead Contracts with 5+ years of experience to join them in their Chandigarh office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Strategic Contract Management: Spearhead the lifecycle management of contracts, encompassing drafting, redlining, negotiation, abstraction, and summarization of key terms.
• Demonstrate expertise in drafting and refining high-stakes legal documents, including NDAs, MSAs, MOUs, Trade Agreements, M&A agreements, Subcontractor Agreements, and Vendor License & Maintenance Agreements.
• Exhibit exceptional acumen in software licensing, IT procurement, support maintenance, and construction-related contracts, ensuring meticulous attention to detail and legal compliance. Corporate Legal Expertise: Leverage a robust understanding of corporate and commercial laws to navigate complex contractual landscapes.
• Proactively address arbitration and dispute resolution matters with strategic foresight and legal prudence.
• Industry-Specific Proficiency: Prior experience in Media and Content industries is highly desirable, with demonstrated success in managing contracts for licensing, distribution, and intellectual property rights.
• Process Optimization & Risk Mitigation: Architect and implement sophisticated contract management frameworks and methodologies to ensure seamless operational efficiency.
• Enforce compliance with stringent legal and regulatory frameworks, safeguarding organizational interests and mitigating potential risks.
• Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement: Assume the role of Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for contract-related matters, fostering transparent communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Lead a dynamic team of 3–5 professionals, providing mentorship, strategic direction, and operational oversight to achieve organizational objectives.
• Deliver insightful training sessions to enhance team competencies and ensure alignment with industry best practices.
• Performance Metrics & SLA Governance: Monitor and enforce adherence to Turnaround Times (TATs) and Service Level Agreements (SLAs), implementing corrective actions to uphold performance excellence.
• Demonstrate dexterity in managing live projects under stringent deadlines, ensuring superior quality and timely delivery.

Eligibility

• Undergraduate: LLB/ BA.LLB
• Postgraduate: LLM (Preferred but not mandatory)
• Total Work Experience: 5+ years
