Details of the Job/Internship
Asian Paints is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal (Metrology) with 5+ years of experience to join their office in Mumbai.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and approve product labels and artworks in compliance with Legal Metrology (Packaged Commodities) Rules.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Marketing, Packaging, Regulatory, and Supply Chain teams.
- Develop and implement Legal Metrology SOPs and playbooks for various product categories.
- Conduct internal training and awareness sessions.
- Provide legal advisory and risk-mitigated solutions on LM-related matters.
- Support inspections, audits, litigation, and documentation under Legal Metrology laws.
- Monitor regulatory changes and case law updates and share relevant insights.
Eligibility
- Full-time LL.B. from a recognized university.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Legal Metrology and contract law, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing, or retail sector.
- Hands-on knowledge of Packaged Commodities Rules and related compliance frameworks.
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation.
