Details of the Job/Internship

DP World is hiring an Assistant Manager - Legal with 25 years of experience for its Global Service Centre in Navi Mumbai. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Provide legal support for trade finance, logistics finance, and inventory finance matters.
• Review, draft, and negotiate complex financial documentation, including risk participation (funded and unfunded) and draft discounting.
• Support the setup of new companies and global trade finance initiatives across various international regions.
• Anticipate and mitigate legal risks while handling communications with global law firms and advisors.
• Assemble and proofread drafts of contracts, licenses, and policies, ensuring error-free operations.
• Conduct legal research on cross-border regulations, court decisions, and industry standards.
• Maintain comprehensive databases and tracking systems for ongoing legal cases and contract management.
• Serve as the primary legal point of contact for internal business, operations, and risk teams.
• Monitor and summarize anticipated legislation and regulations affecting the trade finance sector.

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Law from a reputable university; bar admission is a plus.
• Professional Experience: 2–5 years of experience at a major international law firm, bank, NBFC, or FinTech.
• Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of banking and finance laws, commodity finance, and financial service regulations (including AML/CTF) within the DIFC.
• Competencies: Strong hands-on approach with extreme attention to detail and solid negotiation skills.
• Skills: Excellent analytical abilities and proficiency in professional English; ability to manage a high-volume caseload across multiple jurisdictions.
