Details of the Job/Internship

Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. is hiring an Assistant Manager – Legal (Associate Regional Counsel) with 6–10 years of total legal experience to join their Bengaluru office. 

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle property-related legal matters including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating lease deeds, leave and license agreements, sale deeds, MOUs, amendments, and renewals.
• Manage litigation and court matters, including coordination with external counsels, case tracking, filings, and follow-ups.
• Provide legal advisory support to business teams on corporate and operational matters.
• Draft, review, and negotiate corporate contracts, vendor agreements, NDAs, and commercial agreements.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and internal legal policies.
• Act as the legal SPOC for regional stakeholders and support regional legal requirements.
• Assist in risk assessment and mitigation related to property and retail operations.

Eligibility

• LLB / LLM from a recognized university.
• 6–10 years of total legal experience.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on court experience.
• Minimum 4 years of corporate legal experience.
• Prior experience in the retail industry.
• Strong experience in property-related legal agreements.
• Strong knowledge of property laws and real estate documentation.
• Experience handling corporate legal work and court matters.
• Good drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
