Details of the Job/Internship
CCL Products (India) Limited is hiring an Assistant Manager - Legal with 2 to 4 years of overall experience and at least 1 year in an in-house legal role to join their Hyderabad office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide proactive and reactive legal advice to the business.
- Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts; manage contract repository.
- Ensure compliance with Indian laws including FSSAI, Legal Metrology, ASCI, Consumer Protection, and Data Privacy.
- Vet product labels, packaging, and marketing materials for regulatory compliance.
- Monitor and communicate legal and regulatory updates.
- Coordinate with IP counsel on trademark filings and brand protection.
- Manage litigation tracker and assist in preparing legal strategies.
- Draft and respond to legal notices, regulatory queries, and representation.
- Conduct legal research on FMCG, retail, food, packaging, and advertising laws.
- Support compliance checklist preparation and deliver legal training.
- Collaborate with departments like Marketing, Sales, HR, R&D, Quality Assurance, and Finance to provide legal inputs.
Eligibility
- LL.B. or LL.M. degree.
- Minimum 2 to 4 years total legal experience with at least 1 year in-house legal experience.
- Strong legal drafting, research, and communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and collaborative.
