Details of the Job/Internship
Elevate is hiring an Assistant Manager for its Contracts – Managed Services Team with 3–5 years of post-qualification experience to support global client engagements by preparing, reviewing, and negotiating legal and business documentation. The role involves working closely with client stakeholders to ensure high-quality deliverables and a seamless contracting process.
Role and Responsibilities
- Review and redline a wide range of commercial contracts for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to client playbooks and best practices.
- Independently draft standard legal clauses with minimal supervision.
- Apply client-specific instructions and requirements with precision.
- Discuss and finalize contract drafts independently with client’s business and legal counsel.
- Negotiate contracts with counterparties, including on all-party calls.
- Ensure deliverables meet client policy requirements, quality standards, and expectations.
- Identify inconsistencies, potential risks, or deviations in documentation and suggest improvements.
- Maintain version control and document hygiene across engagements.
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for client stakeholders on drafting-related queries.
- Collaborate with client’s legal counsel, cross-functional teams, and counterparties to ensure smooth contract processes.
- Support Managers in implementing process updates and best practices.
- Contribute to internal knowledge repositories by documenting learnings, templates, and processes.
- Participate in team discussions and feedback sessions to improve drafting processes.
- Stay updated on CLM tools and contribute to their effective usage.
- Provide informal guidance and support to junior team members.
- Assist in onboarding new joiners by sharing practical insights and tips.
Eligibility
- Bachelor’s degree in Law; candidates with relevant legal internships preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience as a commercial contract attorney.
- Prior experience in a professional services or legal support environment.
- Strong command of written English and professional communication.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with document management systems and workflow tools.
