Details of the Job/Internship
Rapido is looking for a candidate for the position of Assistant Manager - Litigation.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent, coordinate and follow up on all on-going and future legal cases/matters;
- Directly interacting with government officials, including regulators and law enforcement;
- Maintain proper documentation in the corporate office with regards to all legal cases and disputes;
- Represent Company/directors /employees in matters related to Civil or Criminal cases at various police stations/courts/or any other legal related statutory office;
- Coordinate with advocates to file right documents and obtain sufficient proofs in any legal offices;
- Coordinate with and seek legal opinion, as required, from legal advisors;
- Keep abreast of and inform management on relevant developments in bike taxi domain such as court ruling or legislative amendments;
- Handling of commercial and litigation practices to ensure adherence to the legal framework and facilitate timely resolution of cases;
- Drafting letters/ applications to be made to various authorities, as well as drafting replies to be given to various authorities in response to the legal notices;
- Drafting of Affidavit-in Replies against the pleadings filed by the other side, may it be private entities or various authorities, before Trial Court and High Courts;
- Drafting of commercial documents like Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Commercial Agreements, Leave and License Agreements etc;
- Advise the Company on various issues including statutes, government regulations and contractual obligations;
- Periodically preparing and updating the Dashboard summary of the Pending Litigations, Status update and the way forward;
- Conduct legal workshops and make presentations to provide guidance and training on ensuring legal compliance to various business functions.
Eligibility
- LLB/ LLM degree from recognized university in India.
- Willing to work in a fast-paced environment, with an experience of 2-6 years in Criminal Cases. Prior exposure in regular visitation to police stations and trials courts in bangalore.
- Fluency in Kannada, Hindi and English
- Good organizational skills and the ability to multitask on several projects simultaneously.
- Ability to manage and communicate with cross functional teams and stakeholders.
- Must be able to travel, as necessary.
Salary/Stipend
