Details of the Job/Internship

Godavari Biorefineries is hiring a seasoned Legal Professional with 8–10 years of experience to lead both litigation and corporate legal functions from their Mumbai office.

Role and Responsibilities

• Handle civil, criminal, and recovery litigation, coordinating with external counsels across various jurisdictions.
• Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements, lease deeds, NDAs, and vendor contracts.
• Manage land acquisition processes, including title due diligence and regulatory compliance in Maharashtra and Karnataka.
• Maintain a centralized Legal MIS for tracking case status, hearing schedules, and legal expenses.
• Act as the custodian for all original legal documents, implementing a digital Document Management System (DMS).
• Liaise with advocates, courts, registrar offices, and government departments for case follow-ups and clearances.
• Provide strategic legal advice to various business units on regulatory and compliance issues.

Eligibility

• Bachelor’s degree in Law (LLB) is mandatory; LLM or specialized certifications in real estate/corporate law are a plus.
• 8–10 years of experience with a mix of litigation and in-house corporate legal roles.
• Deep knowledge of land laws, specifically within Maharashtra and Karnataka.
• Proficiency in legal tech tools, Excel, and centralized document management systems.
• Fluency in English, Hindi, and Marathi is required; proficiency in Kannada is highly preferred.
• Based in Mumbai and willing to travel for site-related legal work.
