Details of the Job/Internship
BITS Law School, Mumbai, is hiring an Assistant Professor in Family Law for a full-time position starting July 2025.
Role and Responsibilities
- Teach semester-length courses in Family Law to students of 5-year BA/BBA LLB programmes.
- Demonstrate quality teaching, supported by student feedback.
- Mentor students in learning, research, writing, tutorials, or individual sessions.
- Curate and update core courses; design interdisciplinary electives.
- Contribute to institution building and new academic initiatives.
- Pursue high-quality research aligned with a robust research agenda.
- Fulfil academic duties related to examinations, assessments, and feedback in a timely and ethical manner.
Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Qualified in UGC NET or an equivalent test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET.
- Preferably recently awarded Ph.D. in Law, close to submission/award, or currently enrolled in a Ph.D. at a reputed university.
- High-quality research work published or accepted in peer-reviewed and indexed journals.
- Exposure to teaching, research, or academic project planning in collaboration with prestigious national/international universities is desirable.
- Strong inclination towards interdisciplinary research in Law and allied areas.
