Details of the Job/Internship
NLSIU is hiring for the position of 3 Assistant Professors (Law) to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Teach courses across academic programmes.
- Conduct research in human rights, constitutional law, public law, and public interest litigation.
- Lead human rights literacy initiatives.
- Engage in public policy dialogue.
Eligibility
- The candidate must have a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks (or equivalent grade) from a recognised university.
- The candidate must have cleared NET/SLET/SET conducted by the UGC or a similar accredited agency OR be exempt from NET as per UGC Regulations 2018.
- Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. in Law in accordance with UGC Regulations (specific conditions in Appendix A – Sections I and II.1) are exempt from the NET requirement.
- All academic qualifications must meet the criteria laid down under Appendix A — Sections I and II.1 of the University notification.
- Foreign Nationals, OCI, NRI, and PIO candidates may apply, subject to their eligibility for an Employment Visa/FRRO regulatory requirements.
- Degrees obtained from foreign universities must be recognised as equivalent in India in accordance with UGC guidelines.
Salary/Stipend
Pay Level 10 as per VII CPC.
