Details of the Job/Internship
BITS Law School, Mumbai is hiring Assistant, Associate, and Full Professors of Law for full-time appointments at its Greater Mumbai Campus, Kalyan. The role involves teaching semester-length courses in core and elective law subjects, mentoring students, designing electives and specialisation courses, contributing to institution building through innovative pedagogy and technology, pursuing academic research leading to published scholarship, and fulfilling academic duties related to assessments, evaluations, and examinations. Joining is scheduled for December 2025 or January 2026.
Role and Responsibilities
- Teach semester-length courses in Property Law, Family Law, Law of Crimes, Civil Procedure Code, Evidence Law, Environmental Law, ADR, and related subjects.
- Mentor students in learning, research, writing, and tutorials.
- Design and offer core, elective, and specialisation courses.
- Contribute to institution building through innovative pedagogy and use of technology.
- Pursue academic research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Perform academic duties related to assessments, evaluations, feedback, and examinations with integrity.
Eligibility
- Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M.) with at least 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Qualified in NET, SLET, or SET as accredited by the UGC.
- Preference for candidates awarded a Ph.D. in law, close to submission or award, or currently enrolled in a Ph.D. programme.
