Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate with 0–2 years of experience to join its Indirect Tax Litigation team in Hyderabad.
Role and Responsibilities
- Assist clients during enquiries, investigations, and audits.
- Draft replies to show cause notices and audit communications.
- Attend hearings and interact with tax authorities.
- Prepare appeals for Joint Commissioner (Appeals) and higher judicial forums.
- Assist in representation before tribunals, High Courts, and the Supreme Court.
- Conduct legal and tax research on relevant issues.
- Prepare submissions, replies, and documentation for tax matters.
- Handle multiple client assignments and smaller client responsibilities independently.
- Build client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
- Stay updated with developments in tax laws and contribute to knowledge management.
Eligibility
- Qualified CA or LL.B.
- 0–2 years of experience in indirect tax (GST, Customs preferred).
- Strong research, drafting, and analytical skills.
- Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
- Good communication and client-handling skills.
