Details of the Job/Internship
Swaniti Initiative is hiring an Associate – Policy Engagement with a minimum of 3 years of experience to join their team in Delhi, India.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conducting evidence-based research on policy issues, government schemes, and sectoral challenges for Members of Parliament.
- Preparing policy briefs, expert notes, and legislative support documents within strict timelines.
- Providing analytical support for parliamentary debates, bills, standing committee meetings, and interventions.
- Identifying policy gaps through research and data analysis and proposing evidence-based solutions.
- Engaging with parliamentarians, government bodies, think tanks, civil society organisations, CSR teams, and grassroots groups.
- Supporting policy workshops, stakeholder consultations, and knowledge exchange events.
- Preparing reports, policy briefs, impact assessments, and knowledge products.
- Documenting policy recommendations, administrative reports, and success stories.
- Contributing to internal reporting, organisational learning, and communication initiatives including public outreach and social media content.
Eligibility
- Postgraduate degree in Economics, Public Policy, Political Science, Law, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of full-time post-graduate experience in public policy, governance, or research roles.
- Strong research, analytical, and data interpretation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Understanding of Union and State government structures and parliamentary processes.
- Willingness to work under tight deadlines and provide time-sensitive support, including occasional weekends or holidays.
