Details of the Job/Internship

Syal & Company is hiring a litigation professional with experience of 5 to 7 years to join their office in Greater Kailash 3, New Delhi.

Role and Responsibilities

• Represent clients in commercial litigation matters before the Delhi High Court, District Courts, and various Tribunals.
• Handle end-to-end arbitration proceedings, including drafting statements of claim, rejoinders, and evidence affidavits.
• Conduct in-depth legal research on the Commercial Courts Act and the Arbitration and Conciliation Act.
• Draft complex legal pleadings, applications, and writ petitions for commercial disputes.
• Brief and assist Senior Counsel for high-stakes arguments and court appearances.
• Manage client communications and provide strategic advice on dispute resolution outcomes.
• Oversee the filing process and ensure strict adherence to judicial timelines and procedural rules.

Eligibility

• Degree in Law (LL.B.) from a recognized university.
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in Commercial Litigation and Arbitration.
• Proven track record of appearing in the Delhi High Court and handling arbitration matters.
• Strong drafting skills and the ability to formulate robust legal strategies.
• Must be able to join urgently and work from the firm’s New Delhi office.
• Professional communication skills and a deep understanding of Indian commercial laws.
