Details of the Job/Internship
Clergy & Wisemen LLP is hiring an Associate (A1) with approximately 1 year of experience to join its Real Estate Practice at the New Delhi office.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct end-to-end real estate due diligence, including review of historical title documents and revenue records.
- Prepare detailed Due Diligence Reports highlighting risks, deficiencies, and remedial measures.
- Identify and analyse title defects, encumbrances, and regulatory non-compliances.
- Review ownership, chain of title, and encumbrances.
- Examine land use, zoning, and regulatory approvals.
- Verify registration, revenue, and municipal records.
- Coordinate with local counsels, revenue offices, and registration authorities.
- Assist in drafting or reviewing transaction documents linked to due diligence findings.
- Conduct legal research on land laws, stamp duty, registration, and local real estate regulations.
Eligibility
- Law graduate with around 1 year of post-qualification experience in real estate due diligence or property documentation.
- Strong drafting skills, particularly in Due Diligence Reports and title notes.
- Familiarity with land records, registration processes, and real estate compliance frameworks.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple properties and timelines.
- Professional approach suited to documentation-intensive legal work.
