Details of the Job/Internship
S.S. Rana & Co. is hiring an Associate Advocate – Trademark with experience of 1–5 years to join their office in South Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Conduct trademark searches and provide comprehensive legal opinions on registrability.
- Handle the filing and prosecution of trademark applications before the Registry.
- Prepare and draft Notices of Opposition, Counter-Statements, Replies, and Rejoinders.
- Manage opposition, cancellation, and rectification proceedings, including drafting necessary affidavits.
- Attend show cause hearings at the Trademark Registry.
- Maintain and update client trademark portfolios, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
- Respond to client queries regarding IP practices in India and draft detailed legal opinions.
- Manage and prioritize multiple IP filings and prosecution workstreams.
Eligibility
- LLB (3-year or 5-year) or LLM degree.
- 1–5 years of Post-Qualification Experience (PQE) in trademark law.
- Proven ability to handle trademark searches, prosecution, and opposition matters.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work in a technology-driven and fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
