Details of the Job/Internship
Diwan Advocates is hiring an Associate Advocate with 3+ years of post-qualification experience to join their office in New Delhi.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle matters before NCLT, NCLAT, High Courts, and other relevant forums.
- Draft pleadings, applications, replies, rejoinders, and transaction documents.
- Assist in CIRP proceedings, resolution plans, and insolvency strategies.
- Conduct legal research and prepare briefs, case notes, and opinions.
- Appear before courts/tribunals and assist during hearings.
- Advise clients on commercial disputes, contracts, and regulatory issues.
- Coordinate with clients, counsel, and other stakeholders.
- Contribute actively to case strategy and execution.
Eligibility
- Minimum 3 years PQE, preferably in IBC, insolvency litigation, or commercial disputes.
- Strong drafting skills in IBC pleadings and commercial documentation.
- Working knowledge of the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, Companies Act, and allied laws.
- Experience appearing before NCLT/NCLAT/High Courts preferred.
- Strong legal research and analytical skills.
- Excellent communication, articulation, and client-handling abilities.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple matters efficiently.
- Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills.
- LL.B. degree with Bar Council enrollment.
- Prior experience in a litigation-focused law firm or insolvency practice preferred.
