Details of the Job/Internship

 LEx Aeterna Practices is hiring for the position of Associate Advocate with 2-5 years of experience to join their office in Mumbai Metropolitan Region.

Role and Responsibilities

Transactions & Documentation:

• Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of legal documents related to real estate and banking & finance transactions, ensuring full regulatory compliance.

Legal Advisory:

• Provide actionable legal opinions and strategic advice on matters related to real estate and finance laws, regulations, and contractual frameworks.

Title Due Diligence:

• Conduct comprehensive title verification and due diligence for real estate assets, including review of land records, encumbrance checks, and statutory compliance.

Litigation Management:

• Manage and represent clients in disputes, including drafting pleadings, appearing before courts and tribunals, and coordinating with external counsel as needed.

Regulatory Compliance:

• Keep abreast of legal and regulatory developments affecting real estate and banking sectors, ensuring compliance across transactions.

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Engage effectively with clients, authorities, courts, internal departments, and external counsels to deliver legally sound and practical solutions.

Eligibility

Educational Background:

• LLB from a recognized university; LLM is a plus.

Experience:

• 2–5 years PQE in banking & finance and real estate matters.

Legal Expertise:

• Proficiency in contract drafting, documentation, title due diligence, and handling both transactional and litigation-related work.

Analytical Ability:

• Strong research, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

Communication:

• Excellent verbal and written communication, client handling, and negotiation abilities.

Work Ethic:

• Self-driven with the ability to manage multiple assignments independently under tight deadlines.

Preferred Background:

• Prior experience in a law firm or corporate legal department focused on real estate and banking & finance is highly desirable.
