Details of the Job/Internship
Unimarks Legal is hiring an Associate Advocate with 5–7 years of litigation experience to join their office in Chennai. The role is full-time.
Role and Responsibilities
- Represent clients before civil courts, criminal courts, DRT, consumer forums and other judicial or quasi-judicial authorities.
- Handle complete litigation matters, including case preparation, drafting, filing and arguments.
- Draft pleadings, petitions, complaints, affidavits, rejoinders, written statements and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions and strategies.
- Liaise with clients, provide updates and advise on legal options.
- Ensure timely filing, compliance and effective case management.
- Work with senior advocates, colleagues and clients for effective case resolution.
Eligibility
- LL.B/LL.M from a recognized university.
- Enrolment with the Bar Council and license to practice law.
- 5–7 years of litigation experience in civil, criminal, DRT and consumer matters.
- Strong drafting, legal research and advocacy skills.
- Good communication, client-handling and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
