Details of the Job/Internship
CADRE ODR is hiring for the position of Associate Arbitration Process Integrity with 2-3 yars of experience to join their Bengaluru office.
Role and Responsibilities
Arbitration Process Oversight & Compliance
- Ensure all arbitration proceedings comply with CADRE’s internal protocols, industry regulations, and applicable legal frameworks.
- Conduct audits and case reviews to identify procedural inconsistencies or risks.
- Assist in updating and refining arbitration rules and procedural best practices.
- Monitor arbitrator conduct to ensure adherence to neutrality, fairness, and ethical standards.
Case Management & Legal Support
- Support case management teams in overseeing arbitration timelines, submissions, and procedural adherence.
- Conduct legal research on arbitration laws, procedural fairness, and relevant judicial precedents.
- Draft and review arbitration-related documents, including procedural orders and compliance reports.
- Collaborate with arbitrators, case officers, and disputing parties to resolve procedural concerns.
Risk & Integrity Assessment
- Investigate complaints related to arbitrator impartiality, conflicts of interest, or procedural violations.
- Develop and implement mechanisms to mitigate risks such as bias, fraud, or non-compliance.
- Assist in handling challenges or appeals against arbitration awards.
- Conduct training sessions for arbitrators, mediators, and internal teams on procedural integrity and best practices.
- Engage with regulatory bodies, legal experts, and industry organizations to stay updated on arbitration laws and ODR advancements.
- Provide guidance to parties and legal representatives on procedural fairness and CADRE’s arbitration framework.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized institution; additional qualifications in arbitration or dispute resolution are a plus.
- 2-3 years of experience in arbitration, dispute resolution, litigation, or compliance.
- Strong knowledge of arbitration laws, including Indian Arbitration & Conciliation Act, 1996, UNCITRAL Model Law, and international arbitration frameworks.
- Prior experience in an ODR, legal-tech, or arbitration institution is an advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to procedural details.
- Excellent legal drafting and research abilities.
- Ability to assess and mitigate risks in arbitration processes.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced legal-tech environment.
Salary/Stipend
