Details of the Job/Internship
Thapar Legal is hiring for the position of Associate Attorney with 1-2 years of experience to join their office in Gurugram.
Role and Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, petitions, written statements, replies, notices, and other legal documents.
- Conduct legal research and prepare case briefs, summaries, and arguments.
- Represent clients before trial courts, consumer forums, tribunals (including RERA), and High Courts.
- Assist in developing legal strategy and case theory under the supervision of senior counsel.
- Coordinate with clients, witnesses, and court officials to ensure smooth case progression.
- Maintain well-organized case files, procedural documentation, and compliance records.
Eligibility
- LL.B. from a recognized university.
- 1–2 years of post-enrollment experience in active litigation practice.
- Enrolled with the Bar Council and licensed to practice in India.
- Proficient in both English and Hindi (oral and written).
- Strong working knowledge of procedural and substantive laws, including:
- CPC, CrPC, Indian Evidence Act
- HMA, Consumer Protection Act, RERA, and related statutes
- Ability to work independently with initiative, while collaborating effectively within a team.
