Details of the Job/Internship

Tyson & Mendes is hiring an Associate Attorney with 1–8 years of litigation experience for its remote. The role involves contributing to high-impact insurance defense litigation while working within a team that prioritizes innovation, mentorship, and trial excellence.

Role and Responsibilities

• Develop strong case strategies that drive results and counter emotional arguments.
• Maintain high standards and ensure excellence in all aspects of litigation work.
• Independently handle court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials.
• Collaborate effectively with attorneys and staff across experience levels.
• Communicate regularly and professionally with clients.
• Build and strengthen relationships with current and prospective clients.
• Mentor junior attorneys and support team development.

Eligibility

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar license in the State of California.
• 1–8 years of litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation.
• Prior insurance defense experience preferred.
• Ability to manage a full caseload from discovery through trial.
• Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.

Salary/Stipend
