Details of the Job/Internship

Believe is hiring an Associate – Business Affairs (Legal & Company Secretary) for its Mumbai office. This role is ideal for legal professionals with a minimum of 5 years of experience, combining responsibilities in legal advisory (70%) and company secretarial matters (30%). 

Role and Responsibilities

• Legal 
  • Draft, vet, and negotiate commercial agreements
  • Manage litigation and pre-litigation matters (notices, disputes)
  • Legal research and preparation of opinions
  • Handle trademark and CSR compliance
  • Draft inter-company agreements and internal policies
  • Resolve legal queries from stakeholders
• Company Secretarial 
  • Conduct board/committee/AGM meetings, draft resolutions, maintain statutory books
  • File returns and forms with regulatory authorities
  • Ensure compliance with Indian Companies Act and FEMA
  • Coordinate with regulators, lawyers, and auditors
  • Assist in M&A, restructuring, and post-integration tasks

Eligibility

• LL.B./LL.M. from a recognized law school.
• Qualified Company Secretary (ICSI).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in legal and secretarial roles, preferably in an international group setting.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).
• Proficient in digital tools (contracting/CRM platforms, Microsoft Office).

Salary/Stipend
