Details of the Job/Internship

IndiaLaw LLP is hiring for the position of Associate - Civil and Criminal Litigation to join their Hyderabad office. 

IndiaLaw LLP is looking to hire a lawyer in their criminal litigation vertical with brilliant research and analytical skills. The lawyer is expected to display sound judgment and decision-making with outstanding problem-solving and communication skills. To ensure success, lawyers should be determined, professional and well informed with a keen interest in upholding the law while protecting the client’s rights.

Role and Responsibilities

The lawyer should be well aware of the procedures and process of Criminal Litigation in Magistrates Courts, Sessions Courts and High Courts.
The lawyer should know how to deal with all legal matters including preparing and drafting legal notices, replies, applications, writs, petitions, criminal complaints, bail applications, revision applications, appeals and SLPs for filing with different adjudicating authorities and courts.
The lawyer will represent/appear before various adjudicating authorities, and courts and visit police stations in legal matters.
The lawyer will conduct criminal trials of white-collar crimes and the Negotiable Instruments Act before trial courts. 
The lawyer will conduct briefings and assist the counsels in legal research, drafting of written submissions & written notes of arguments etc.
The lawyer will coordinate with other teams to provide wholesome advice to clients.
The lawyer should be updated with laws, amendments & landmark judgements passed by the courts.
The lawyer will conduct research to support legal cases.
The lawyer will maintain and update databases for client relations and case management.
The lawyer will communicate with clients and external counsel via phone, email, and in-person meetings.
The lawyer will actively contribute towards knowledge development by writing blogs and articles on relevant legal topics.
The lawyer will manage & coordinate with local associates/lawyers across India.

Eligibility

Post-qualification experience: 2-3 years

Candidate requirements:

• Proactive and self-motivated, have a keen eye for detail.
• Ability to work in a team in time time-bound manner.
• Good Command over written, and spoken language (English, Telugu & Hindi).
• Excellent communication & writing skills.
• Knowledge of using MS Office, MS Excel, and PowerPoint tools.
• Flexible & able to work under pressure in a dynamic environment.
