Details of the Job/Internship
Lakshmikumaran & Sridharan Attorneys is hiring an Associate for its Commercial Disputes Resolution team at the Delhi office. The role involves handling commercial litigation and arbitration matters, legal research, drafting, client interaction, and procedural work before various forums.
Role and Responsibilities
- Analyse legal issues, conduct research using multiple databases, and prepare initial drafts in arbitration and commercial matters.
- Draft and prepare pleadings and documents under the guidance of senior associates.
- Communicate directly with clients, as required.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current commercial laws.
- File documents and pleadings before various forums with assistance from court clerks and seniors.
- Visit courts and client offices when required.
- Work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining high standards of integrity and professional ethics.
Eligibility
- Three-year or five-year law degree from a reputed university with an excellent academic record.
- One to two years of post-qualification experience in commercial litigation or arbitration.
- Working knowledge of general commercial laws, IBC, Limitation Act, CPC, Company Law, and the Constitution.
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Experience in domestic and international arbitrations involving contractual disputes and commercial litigation.
- Experience in drafting replies to legal notices, civil suits, appeals, writs, SLPs, and written submissions.
- Additional experience in general corporate advisory and IPR disputes is an advantage.
